Flyersdoc is a part of Transportation Occupational Medicine Consultants, Inc – the practice of Timothy J. McCormick, DO,

Dr. McCormick has always had a passion for flying and for serving those in the aviation community. He grew up under the wings of an older brother who was a Vietnam veteran fighter pilot, and who encouraged him to pursue his medical career as a flight surgeon.

Following medical school he entered the USAF and after his internship served a flight surgeon. Assigned to a squadron he was their doc and deployed with them. He was described by his squadron as the “fighter pilot’s fighter surgeon”, by the squadron. He was selected for advanced medical specialty training in Aerospace Medicine. He retired from the military with active duty and ANG services and the rating of Chief Flight Surgeon. He is certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in both Aerospace Medicine and Occupational Medicine.

After years of working in the transportation industry, Dr. McCormick was urged by his son a 767 first officer  to return to working with pilots and handling their FAA   medical  certification needs.  Pilots were  frustrated  awaiting exams in busy practices not focused on or understanding their unique needs.

We pride ourselves in providing personalized care, and understanding your unique flying experiences.

As a Delta pilot ( and Marine) told him recently “ doc.. your not just an AME, but a real flight surgeon who has been out there with us and understood the   mission to keeping us flying”.
